You might think that Valentine’s Day is too mushy of a holiday for your super cool teenagers, but you’d be wrong. Teens like to feel the love just like anybody else.
Here’s a top 10 list of Valentine’s Gifts for your teenager- and spoiler alert!! They aren’t all bought from the store.
1. A heartfelt note from you will mean more than any gift from the store. But don’t just scribble something onto the paper. Take some time to truly think about your teen. What are they good at? What do they do that makes you laugh? How is your life better because of them? What makes your child unique? In order to make a note truly special it needs to be specific so your teen feels known and loved. Click here for some funny and clever cards for your teens.
2. Does your daughter need a reminder that she is loved that she can wear anywhere? This small heart and initial necklace is dainty and sweet!
3. Coupons books full of teen themed coupons would be a hit! An extra hour added to their curfew, no chores for a day, a ride anywhere, drink run, washing and folding their laundry, a friend coming along on a family activity, etc.
4. A Valentine’s Snack kit is perfect for those teenage boys who are ALWAYS hungry. This one comes with over 50 snacks that are both salty and sweet!
5. If you want to make a big splash a pair of Nikes with a flash of red would look festive while still being cool. Red is rad!
6. Service is always a great way to show love! Make your teen’s bed, do their chores, make them a warm breakfast, clean their bathroom, etc.
7. If you live somewhere that is still cold in February you can wrap your kid up in the closest thing there is to a warm hug. This comfy (mix between a blanket and a hoodie) is perfect for cuddling up in while doing homework.
8. If you have a teen with a car nothing says love like a full gas tank!
9. Breakfast in bed is a unique way to show your teen love. It doesn’t even need to be very fancy. Just think of their favorite breakfast food, add some juice/milk and a little note and you’re good to go! This tray will make it look nice while also making it stable. After all, nothing ruins breakfast in bed like a spill or crumbs all over.
10. A family dinner is the perfect way to connect with all your kids at once and spread love over your whole family. A theme like all red food can add to the fun. Making a fancy meal like fondue can feel extra special too!
Bonus: Every day in February tape a heart on their door that says something you love about them. They will love reading a new thought each day and might even leave them up long past Valentines (my kids do!) To make it extra easy on yourself grab these pre-cut hearts in a rainbow of colors!
